I hear you! The best way I’ve found to eliminate the difficulty of wanting to do one thing when you know you must do another is to stop resisting the thing you must do. Deciding that I want to do the less desirable things too means I can at least do them without suffering! The choice to want to do them keeps me feeling free. In this manner I can maintain a feeling of joy no matter what I’m doing!

I definitely relate to your post.

I also am a life coach.

One of my early exercise is to take stock of where you are
in life now and clean house as they say so I have less
things to do which I do not enjoy. However…

I am very good at setting each day’s three
priorities. The difficulty comes when
I would rather do something else with my time.

But someone I can garner the focus to get my
three items done.

To be honest – Im not exactly sure where it came from! I can tell you where It started before it took on a life of it’s own – a couple of months ago I realized I had only worn the pearl necklace my husband gave me almost 25 years ago a handful of times. I decided that it was stupid to not wear them all the time, even if it’s for no good reason, rather than waiting for an appropriate occasion! After all, who knows how many more opportunities I’ll have?
I thought I’d blog about this, but apparently I was meant to say something completely different considering what came out! So there you have it. Oh – and I wear my pearls just about every day now
